Cate Vose
Founder and Director
BSW, Grad. Dip. Div., Cert IV TAE, AMHSW
Cate is the Founder and Director of The Rewilding Collective, mama to two teenage boys and one poorly behaved Golden Retriever. Cate brings to her practice a background that includes leadership in the NGO sector working with at-risk populations, advocacy, case work, teaching and training, curriculum writing, project management, community development, and offering retreats. Since 2016, Cate has been working with clients around the world, seeking support for their mental health, wellbeing and spiritual development, and also offers supervision to Social Workers, Psychologists, Counsellors and other providers of mental health services or spiritual care practitioners.
Cate’s work is highly intuitive, trauma-informed, evidence-based and client-centred, and utilises a phenomenological approach that incorporates CBT, DBT, solutions-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, holistic spirituality, Jungian archetypal frameworks, esoteric mysticism and the Enneagram to suit individuals, couples and families (including children and adolescents) based on their goals for the work. Cate specialises in helping people heal from PTSD, narcissistic abuse, religious and spiritual abuse and complex co-morbidities.
In-clinic and Telehealth appointments are available to Australian residents, and Medicare rebates can be arranged under a GP Mental Health Care Plan. International clients are welcome to reach out with their local time zone to request a suitable appointment.
Therapeutic Services
-
When you work with me, you are working with someone who has over 20 years of experience as a practitioner.
Mental Health Social Workers provide counselling, advocacy, case management, family support, liaise with other service providers, write reports to external bodies, provide mediation, see couples both together and separately, use phenomenological approaches, treat all clients as already-empowered individuals and work across the full range of co-morbidities in any kind of presentation.
I work across the fields of psycho-social education, addiction, sexual dysfunction, intimacy coaching, spiritual abuse, narcissistic abuse, neurodiversity, intimate partner violence, parenting support, child development, gender and sexuality, domestic and family violence, as well as providing treatment and intervention for mental illness.
Mental Health Social Workers cannot provide psychological testing (for ASD or ADHD for example) or diagnose, but we work collaboratively with GPs, NDIS plan managers and psychiatrists to manage the diagnosis and medication, ensuring wrap-around care for our clients.
Please note that this is the only service type that attracts a Medicare rebate under an eligible Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Professional Coaching & Supervision
-
This is the oldest part of my practice, one that I have been offering since 2012.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a background in Divinity, I have been providing professional coaching and clinical (pastoral) supervision to other mental health clinicians, NGO execs, clergy and deconstructing clergy, front line health workers and other professionals for over a decade.
What is the difference between this service and traditional therapy? Well, sometimes the lines get blurred. But in professional supervision, we are focusing on you bringing your whole, best self to your work, your leadership, your business - and that involves integrating any parts of you which come up to hijack the show from time to time. It also involves developing specific skill sets like deepening EQ, understanding team dynamics, sharpening and honing your leadership practice and cultivating a professional identity.
Professional supervision is fully covered by many industries who encourage their people to be externally supervised, but for anyone in the people-helping industries, if it isn’t covered, it is a tax deduction.
